Casa Jacaranda_Marianna Jamadi-6.jpg

Saturated cool.

Travel photographer Marianna Jamadi and her posse stopped in for a day of cooking and feasting. We loved the pictures she took that day, especially their saturated color palette. The Casa never looked so chic.

Malala Youzafsai.

We were deeply honored to host 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Malala Youzafsai and five young Latin American women working on behalf of girls’ education as part of #YesAllGirls. They left us wondering: if one girl’s education can change the world, what can 130 million do? Join her cause and donate at

Seasoned travelers.

We were thrilled to host our friends at El Camino Travel as they explored Mexico City with Bri Emery, the mastermind (and heart) behind Design Love Fest. Check out the full report of their journey at Traveling to Mexico City.

As always, we mixed fun, fresh cocktails with our favorite tequila, Altos. And get a load of the photos by ace photographer Jennifer Young. ¡Salud!

When in La Roma.

The jacarandas were in bloom citywide, but even more in Colonia Roma when our friends Heidi Leon and Regis Monges visited for a Casa Jacaranda-style immersion in Mexican food and culture.

You can check out Heidi’s post on her popular Aromas & Sabores blog. Renowned photographer Daniela Pacheco is the eye behind these marvelous photos.

Mangos galore!

Amazing photographer Jody Horton’s visit to Casa Jacaranda left us with warm, fun memories—and this colorful, mango-scented gallery. Did we mention we also created yummy recipes for the National Mango Board? Check them out and read about the whole mango adventure at Share Mango Love Mexico.

Happy, HungryHipsters

A wonderful day cooking and making cocktails, Altos cocktails, obviously, with Breann Chiero and Christian Medice a.k.a. the Hungry Hipsters. Check out Bre's creative and very colorful!

Love to cook Mexican.

Immerse yourself in the process… your hands will get messy! Make salsas, tamales, starters and a main dish. All from scratch, using our abuela-approved recipes. Then go back home and impress everyone with your new Mexican cooking skills! Photos by the brilliant Daniela Pacheco.

TV stars for a day.

Cami Da Silva of TV Chile joined us for a colorful, delightful day of cooking and eating for the camera. Did we compel her to try the chapulines (grasshoppers)? Oh, no, we would never do that!
