Flexible tickets only: Fifteen days or more before the experience, fees are refundable* but are subject to a $30 USD cancellation fee, per person booked.
Fees are non-refundable fourteen days or fewer before the experience. You may reschedule your class once or transfer your class to another person within six months after the first-chosen date. The reschedule cancels after six months.
After the experience date or in case of no-show, fees are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Final sale tickets: Experiences are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled regardless of their circumstances.

We will refund 80% of the reservation cost if cancellation is made at least 30 days in advance.
For cancellations made less than 30 days prior, there will be no reimbursement. However, we can reschedule your experience based on availability, or you may transfer your spot to someone else for your booked date or another available date.

Because we entertain visitors from around the world, our experiences are generally in English. Spanish-language sessions are available with advance notice.

When you book, please mention allergies or restrictions in the space provided. Note that Mexican cooking is especially varied and naturally gluten free.

Normally six or eight participants. At private events, we can accommodate fifteen, in a modified class environment. The new space includes a patio available for bigger groups. If you’re more than eight, drop a line at hola@casajacaranda.mx.

In MEXICO CITY: The Morning Market Experiences kick off at 10 am and ends by 4:30 pm. Our Evening Sessions go from 6:30 to approximately 10:30 pm. Our weekly Raíces Chef’s Table Dinner happens every Wednesday from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
In CUERNAVACA: Our Garden Cooking Sessions kick off at 10 am and end at 3 pm. -
We recommend reserving as soon as you nail down your travel dates. Since classes only accommodate six to eight participants, we often end up booked solid, sometimes for weeks.

A full credit card payment is required to confirm your reservation; using our website’s payment app is the easiest way to go. Once payment is confirmed, we’ll follow up with information regarding where to meet and how the experience will take place. AMEX payments are temporarily processed manually. Contact us and we’ll send a secure payment link.

Kids from seven to twelve years with a paid ticket are welcome, as long as each arrives with a paying adult. In Cuernavaca, kids five and up are welcome. Participants thirteen years and over pay full price. You can select child tickets directly in our booking process.

Yes. We e-mail recipes to participants after classes conclude.

The standard price includes ingredients, the market tour, the cooking session and beverages. Please inquire by e-mail if you wish to invite a lunch guest.

Yes. Prices for one to eight participants start at USD 1,751. To book or to ask about costs for more participants, e-mail us at hola@casajacaranda.mx. Private experiences are subject to availability.

Our example menus reflect popular choices. But our commitment to seasonality means they finalize on your experience date, to include appetizers, salsa recipes and the entree; we squeeze fruit juices and serve tequila or mezcal aperitifs. Lunch calls for fine Mexican vintages; seasonal desserts wrap the celebration.

Our boot camps will make you roll up your sleeves and cook intensively for three days. If you don’t feel “experienced enough,” rest assured that we think all you really need is basic cooking skills and a good attitude!
